Blue Diamond Machinery Powers Erben’s Cirque Duet – WA’s First 5 Star Green Star Rated Building

The Cirque Duet development in Mount Pleasant, WA is currently in its final stage of construction. With the help of Blue Diamond’s diesel-free 500kW BESS unit, the award-winning apartments will become the first residential development to receive a 5 Star Green Star rating.

The Enertainer unit is built with construction sites in mind, creating the ideal drop-in solution to substitute large diesel generators, and in Erben’s case, to power their on-site tower cranes. Luke was delighted with the Enertainer’s success and its positive impact on the air and noise quality for both workers and nearby residents.

“[The Enertainer] eliminates diesel and significantly reduces the emissions created during the construction phase…[and] cancels out the noise and exhaust that residents would otherwise be subjected to…” said Reinecke.

Using lithium-ion battery technology, the Enertainer also has a carbon footprint 70-90% lower than a diesel generator. It is estimated to reduce carbon emissions on the Cirque Duet development by nearly 12 tonnes per month – an equivalent saving of 7,000 litres of diesel per month.
